Who We Are

Geneva Christian School is an educational institution dedicated to forming future reformers of faith and society. Our mission is to provide an excellent education grounded in the Reformed Christian worldview, combining academic development with a solid ethical and moral foundation.

Inspired by the values of the Protestant Reformation, we follow the principle that everything we do is “Coram Deo”, that is, before God and for God. Our educational approach prepares students to face the world with wisdom, responsibility, and a deep sense of purpose.

Academic Excellence

We are a cognitive-interactionist school whose methodology begins with the Reformed Christian worldview and is academically supported through partnerships with established educational institutions such as Mackenzie, Abeka, and Maison des Langues. Another key element of our method is project-based learning, inspired by the Swiss educational approach to provide memorable moments and experiences that make learning interactive, meaningful, and relevant to each student’s formation.

We combine this with the principles of Classical Christian Education, applying methods and techniques proven effective over the centuries to ensure students receive a solid ethical and moral formation. Ultimately, we do everything Coram Deo: our entire teaching practice is an act of worshiping God and glorifying Him as we fulfill our calling.

Classical Christian Education

Alongside our innovative approach, we follow the principles of Classical Christian Education, which is based on the development of three pillars: grammar, logic, and rhetoric. Beginning in 6th grade, we offer classical philosophy classes to strengthen students’ logical reasoning, argumentation, and communication skills.

Our academic formation is grounded in a Christian worldview, with the goal of developing sharp minds and pure hearts and equipping our students to bear witness to their faith in academic and social settings.

Trilingual Program and International Curriculum

Our trilingual program provides a solid education in Portuguese, English, and French, with English taught from the earliest years of school. We use the phonics method to develop language skills in both Portuguese and English, while French is taught through a communicative approach supported by materials from Abeka, Richmond, and Maison des Langues.

Our commitment to linguistic excellence also includes a partnership with Alliance Française de Niterói and preparation for international certifications such as the TOEFL.

Since 2025, with the integration of the IB (International Baccalaureate) curriculum, 50% of High School classes have been taught in English, reinforcing our commitment to a global education.

Flexible Schedules and Extracurricular Projects

In addition to academic quality, our structure offers flexible schedules and enrichment opportunities through elective subjects for Elementary School II, full-time programs in High School and Early Childhood Education, and extracurricular activities that support students’ well-rounded development.

Among our distinctive projects is the Switzerland Exchange Program, a transformative cultural experience that immerses students in education and culture at the heart of the country, including visits to significant historical and educational sites.

Our Essence and Values

At Geneva Christian School, we seek to form students with strong roots, pure hearts, and sharp minds. We are committed to preparing global citizens with a solid Christian formation who can impact society with integrity, responsibility, and a worldview grounded in the eternal values of God’s Kingdom. More than teaching academic content, we seek to awaken in every student an awareness of living “Coram Deo”, serving God in every area of life.

Our vision, Go Global, Go Beyond, Go Eternal, guides us to form students who think globally, move beyond conventional boundaries, and walk toward eternity, aware of their role as agents of transformation in the world and for the glory of God.

This is Geneva Christian School: an institution committed to the complete formation of every student, bringing together faith, academic excellence, and a global vision to make a positive impact on the present and the future!
