Trilingual Program & International Curriculum

At Geneva Christian School, we believe that mastering several languages is essential for empowering our students to thrive in an increasingly globalized world. Our Trilingual Program provides a complete and consistent education in Portuguese, English, and French through a distinctive approach that accompanies students from Early Childhood Education through High School, preparing them both linguistically and culturally.

Early Childhood

In the early years, we nurture an interest in languages through a playful and engaging methodology. In Early Childhood Education, students are introduced to English through Abeka phonics awareness and to French through interactive projects based on the PBL method. From an early age, our students develop a language foundation that becomes stronger as they progress through school.

Elementary I

In Elementary School I, English is taught through the Abeka phonics method, which supports the literacy process, while French follows a communicative approach using materials from Samir and Maison des Langues. The goal is to provide fluent, natural learning by integrating reading, writing, and speaking skills on a solid and effective foundation.

High School

In High School, we take global education one step further by integrating Brazil’s national curriculum standards with the International Baccalaureate (IB), offering our students an outstanding international curriculum. Fifty percent of classes are taught in English, promoting not only fluency but also deep immersion in academic subjects and preparing students for renowned universities around the world. We use materials from respected institutions such as Mackenzie, Oxford, Abeka, Kognity, and Ebsco to provide a rigorous, comprehensive education that broadens our students’ horizons.

Cultural exchange program in Switzerland

As part of our international education, we offer an annual cultural exchange program in Switzerland for Elementary School II and High School students. This unique opportunity allows students to experience immersion in a high-level educational environment while exploring the country’s rich cultural and historical heritage. The experience strengthens language learning, broadens their worldview, and provides direct contact with the origins of the Protestant Reformation, a milestone in Christian history.

Two students have the opportunity to win the trip as a prize in our “The Bible in One Year” cultural competition, encouraging both academic and spiritual learning.

Our Trilingual Program and international curriculum provide a complete, innovative, and global education, preparing Geneva Christian School students for the challenges of the future with a solid academic, ethical, and Christian foundation.
