Frequently Asked Questions

Why doesn’t Geneva have a “children’s church/chapel”?

Because our entire daily routine is already lived as worship to the Lord. Liturgical moments should take place within the denomination chosen by the parents, since the family holds the primary responsibility for educating the child.

Why isn’t there a “religion class”?

We understand that religious formation is the responsibility of the family together with its respective church; therefore, we do not reduce our faith to one weekly period. We use confessional teaching materials, and our classes connect the biblical text with classroom content to show that God is present in all things.

How does Bible Time work?

Every day, we set aside a brief devotional period to strengthen the habit of Bible reading and highlight its benefits. Scripture is used to present Christian principles, values, and virtues. The students’ own teacher leads this moment, combining Bible reading with practical applications suited to their daily classroom life.

May my child opt out of “religious activities”?

At our school, we do not separate “religious activities” from “secular activities,” because we understand the Christian life as a whole and believe everything should be lived CORAM DEO, before God. Families of every religion are welcome and included in all our activities without discrimination. If a family does not agree with the Christian principles and values that form an integral part of the school’s Political-Pedagogical Project, we recommend seeking another educational institution.

What is the chaplain’s role at the school?

The Head Chaplain safeguards the school’s confessional identity. Together with the other chaplains, he oversees events, provides training on the Christian worldview in education, and offers regular counseling to staff members. He also maintains close ties with families through home and hospital visits and leads the school’s Ethics Committee in situations involving conflict among students.
